Minnesota......Land of the Loons

Citizens of Minnesota are at it again. Gossip, Gossip, Gossip. Rumors, Slander, Defamation of Character, and just generally talking about a person behind their backs is the Minnesota Way, regardless of facts. Minnesotan's really don't care who they hurt along the way as long as they get their word and votes in. What Minnesotan's don't know is this behavior will back fire on them in the end and they will have to pay the piper. In the meantime, people get hurt, families get messed up and too many people get involved to mention.

The State of Minnesota has an incredibly bad reputation and is not known for highly intelligent people. Minnesotan's are known for getting involved in matters they have no business to be involved in the first place. Not only are Minnesotan's known for their poor driving habits, but they are also known as gossips. They are also known for their poor taste in voting for government officials in their State.

I am a Minnesotan, however, I'm not a Minnesotan who slanders, defams, or tells lies about others to try and humiliate, and I definately don't get involved in other's business unless their my kids. I am a Minnesotan who sees the beauty of the State such as the seasons, forests, lakes, animals, rivers, etc., I'm proud with who I am as a person. I'm a women who loves her family and close friends. For all you loons who think of me as otherwise, we'll all have to discuss your problems or....if your brave enough let's sit around the table and discuss your gripes and problems about me. I promise, I'll listen to everything that is said, even though I've heard it ALL. And then if you can't apologize, negotiate, give me what's rightfully mine, then I'll see you in Court.

Everyone.....have a beautiful day!

Washington Politicans Vote And Again Make A Joke Out Of The War In Iraq

Washington Politician's, Democrats and Republicans alike voted for President Bush's proposals on keeping the war going for an unspecific amount of time, and also adding more financial aid and support to go towards this bloody Iraq war.

Only a handful of chicken politician's voted against President Bush's bill and why? Because these handful of politician's have high stakes in the outcome of the decisions of President Bush and his cabinet of loyal supporters. These handful of politician's are running for the presidency or have some other stake in the political circus.

More and more men and women are coming home in body bags and still Washington politician's continue to vote for it, fund it, and support the war regardless of deaths of human beings.

I would like to see everyone of the politician's who voted to extend the war and fund it to have their children or loved ones or even themselves go to Iraq and relieve the women and men who have been fighting there. Yes, I would like to see them or their families and friends who these politician's love so dearly go to Iraq for "the cause". Maybe then these politician's will begin to empathize with human beings if they put themselves in their shoes.

My two sons are teenagers who will soon be eligible to enlist in the armed services. I as their mother will strongly urge the two of them to never enlist in the military or be a part of this military madness and war that is based on money, greed, oil and more oil.

If there is a draft and my sons are drafted I will help them do whatever it takes to avoid the draft, even if it takes them going to another country, I will help them in any way they would want me to. If this makes me unpatriotic, so be it. At least my son's will be safe and not have to be in a battle which is as senseless as the vietnam war was.

I am so disgusted with the politician's in every political realm. The only politician I might consider voting for is John Edwards and even he has contradictory statements and has been hypocritical when it comes to the war, however, after hearing him speak on "Meet the Press" and other talk shows I believe he is sorry for his past votes and beliefs on the war and will try and end the war.

Everyone stay tuned to the political circus in your hometown, and Washington. The circus players want us all to stay tuned to their political mess that is costing the tax payers lots and lots of monies and will continue to cost money long after the war has ended when the payoffs will truly begin.

Oh What Tangled Webs We Weave When First We Practice To Deceive

In our world people are constantly being wronged one way or another.

Human Beings hurt, slander, lie, defame another human being and try to ruin other's lives.

I believe people do this because they are so unhappy with their own lives that they have to get involved in someone life and make them as miserable as they themselves are.

There are many problems which result in human beings doing this. First of all the person who is lied about, defamed and slandered gets hurt because things being said about them are generally not true. The person being lied about gets hurt in a way that can ruin them emotionally, physically and make them never trust anyone again. Secondly, the family members who have to listen to it all, keep secrets, lie, and most of the time spill the beans to the person being slandered by accident, or because the family, friends, co-workers, are so sick of the whole situation they just don't care and tell the person who has lies being said about them. Third, people feel they need to update the people who they are slandering about because they feel better about themselves when they can make someone else's life miserable - this makes the game players lives seem fuller, happier, when in truth their lives are full of discontent.

People naturally possess skills which allow them to make the right choices and decisions when it comes to treating other human beings with respect, common decency and stopping the people in their tracks who are doing the defaming. Why do so few people use these life skills and just say enough is enough and stop the nonsense of ruining others lives and halt being apart of harrassing other people and stop being a part of a situation that can only end with hurt and ruin lives. What people don't realize is the secrets and lies always are found out by the person sooner or later and then a bigger mess is created.

Court Battles are usually the result of these rumors, especially when the people who have been lied about and wronged have their lives ruined along with their families and the people close to them because of what was said.

I hope everyone reading this Blog today will consciously say they will stop the game playing, the hurting of others by lying and making up stories about people and say enough is enough!

I'm writing on this topic today because I'm sick of the updates everyday that don't even have merit, meaning people constantly trying to start something that should never even have been in the first place. Human beings lying about others and hurting the person and their families lives.

Don't update me anymore. I don't like being updated and I bet nobody else does either.

As an American who is fed up with it all, all I can say is I'll see you in Court! Isn't that the American way?

ALLSTATE INSURANCE COMPANY RIPS OFF PEOPLE WHO PAY THEIR HIGH PREMIUMS

Two weeks ago I filed an insurance claim with Allstate.

My 3 season porch had leakage coming from the roof. Inside my porch I have new carpet which was put in last spring. I also have knotty pine going throughout my porch including all of my ceiling. My porch is about 20x18.

I filed a claim with my insurance agency which also handles my car insurance. Allstate was slow to answer my claim. They sent a claims examiner to my house 2 weeks after my initial claim. Their reasoning was they were "busy". In the meantime my roof continued to leak inside my 5 year old porch addition and the brand new carpet was getting ruined by this.

The week before the examiner showed up, I had a construction company come to my house to tell me why I was having leakage. I was told that one of the vents on top of the porch roof was gone and rain was coming in through the vent. They said I needed a new vent and some new shingles to surround the area of the vent. They put a new vent on and shingles that I had extra in my garage. They said this should stop the leakage problem. They also stated the vent was probably blown off from wind or other weather conditions.

When the examiner showed the next week, he was a fast talking Allstate company man who talked so fast he sounded like he had 2 pots of coffee in him. I had to keep asking him to repeat himself which he did but my questions never got answered.

The Allstate examiner claimed the vent was gone because of a maintenance issue and that the leakage had been coming through for a long time because some of the nails in the ceiling were darker then most of the other ones. I told him nobody has gone on my roof to destroy the vent and that weather conditions caused the problem.

The examiner said I do not agree with you and on behalf of Allstate the examiner denied my claim. He said if I wanted to fight the company it would cost me $500.00 for arbitration with them and I would probably lose anyway.

I asked him to leave because I had heard enough of his garbage.

I called my insurance agent and complained and he called one of the chiefs of the claims examiners department, an office person who would talk with me about the situation.

We talked together today and the office examiner claimed Allstate will not pay for something the homeowner made happen. I asked him what he meant by that and he claimed the vent came off the house because of improper maintenance by the homeowner and that wind or any other weather condition couldn't have caused the vent to come off. He also claimed the leakage was probably there for over a long period of time even though I told him I saw the roof leak only once and would have notice the leak because our family uses the porch immensely.

The office examiner ended our conversation with "Our office does not agree with you and you don't agree with our office so we will never reach a conclusion to this issue.

He then abruptly hung up on me.

What kind of an insurance agency is this that won't take care of their high premium paying customers when they have a catastrophe happen to their dwelling. Why even have house insurance and pay these high premiums when the company you are insured with doesn't honor their contract or what they are suppose to.

I am writing this in my blog so other people will see this and think twice about signing up with Allstate insurance. Allstate insurance will not stand up for you or anyone else. They will rob you blind and when you really need legitimate assistance with your home, the company will ignore the situation and say the problem was caused by the homeowner.

Sure....I was really walking on top of my roof and monkeying around with the air vent. Made it break off and the rest is history.

Dream on Allstate. I've got news for you. I would never even go on top of my roof. I have a multi level dwelling and a steep roof and would never go on the roof to walk around.

This was a weather accident that was reported to your company in good faith. This is just another dissatisfied customer who will tell her story to whoever will listen and will start off with the story here.

Are you happy now Allstate?!

Bishop Thomas Gumbleton denied by St. Paul - Minneapolis Diocese the right to speak at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church

My boyfriend, who is a peace activist told me of a Bishop, who would be speaking at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Minneapolis today at the 9a.m. mass was also a peace activist like ourselves trying to make a difference in the world by speaking at different churches throughout the US

I have been a Catholic all my life and although I do not attend church on a regular basis, I do believe in God, Jesus, and life after death. Bishop Thomas Gumbleton is someone I would love to hear talk about the Catholic Religion along with Peace and Social Justice.

After doing some research myself on Bishop Thomas Gumbleton, I was very excited and planned on taking my 3 teenage children to his sermon - homily today at the 9a.m. mass. We would travel over an hour to hear him and because I really enjoyed his readings that are published on the Internet this would be worth the trip.

I was quickly dis hearted when I learned Archbishop Harry Flynn, head of the Archdiocese in the St. Paul, Minneapolis area disbarred Bishop Gumbleton from speaking today at the 9a.m. mass. He was not allowed to speak there because of his views on the war and other subjects the Catholic Religion continues to stifle individuals from speaking out about.

When will the Catholic Archdiocese ever learn that the reason people are leaving the Catholic church and checking other religions out or leaving religion altogether is because the Archdiocese won't give up their stringent ways and start thinking openly and honestly about what is happening in our world today by letting people like the Bishop Thomas Gumbleton speak about the injustices of the world, the dirty filthy war we shouldn't even be involved in and various other issues which need addressing.

I am looking forward to going on vacation next month and hopefully hearing Bishop Gumbleton speak at a church which accepts that people have a right to voice their beliefs even if it isn't necessarily what they believe.

Stop the War in Iraq

For my first Blog I want to write about optimism, peace, love, health, trust, common sense. I wish for everyone these wonderful words I mentioned above in their lives. They are all attainable, yet at times very hard to reach especially in the midst of the dirty war we are forced to be in against our free will as Americans.

The Iraq war is a senseless war which was established because of greed. Our young kids are being sent to the middle east to fight in a war they don't even understand. The only thing they understand is that if they enlist and fight they are doing this all for their country.

My 3 teenagers could very well be drafted in the next couple years if the war goes on as President Bush would like it to go. I am a worried mom hoping the government and congress have enough sense to stop President Bush's request for more military troops being sent to their doom.

As a mother I support Cindy Sheehan in her protests and traveling around the country wanting the war to stop. Her son was killed in Iraq needlessly and she is trying to make the bad situation of her son's death into a positive experience by protesting the war and showing Americans what is really going on in the middle east.

My hope is for everyone to have a New Year filled with Love, Peace, Goodwill, Trust, common sense, health. By stopping the war in Iraq this will be a first step in achieving everything good.
